About Paul

Hi I’m Paul DesChene.  I began fishing sitting on my dads lap at the age of 2.  These first experiences were on my grandparents dock on Lake Minnetonka.  Sunfish were the first fish in my bucket.  Crappies would pass by and find my hook irresistible.  As I grew older, I would use sucker minnows to catch Northerns.  Neighbors that lived close to my grandparents would share their knowledge of favorite baits.  They shared how to rig bait and present it to the fish.  Great ideas that have lasted a life time.  As I have continued this life journey of fishing, dad took me trolling.  Lots of Bass and Northern were caught.  In my teens my cousin and I would venture out exploring.  Crossing Lake Minnetonka and finding new fishing holes.  The door of the great outdoors was wide open.  Years of fishing trips and vacations were to follow.  A great meal of fish was always enjoyed,

Later in life I married and moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area to start and raise my family.  Though the last 10-15 years I have had the chance to learn Walleye fishing and many other techniques.  It’s been very fun.  I’ve won tournaments with friends.  Joined FM Walleye Inc. and have had a position on the board with them.  Participated and promoted the fishing world.  I desire to share my knowledge and wisdom about fishing with others.
